The Fine Print
Trip package price:
$3,695 per person double occupancy (single
supplement: $840) including airfare. Individuals wishing to travel at the
double occupancy rate but who do not have a designated companion will be
assigned one if possible. If such assignment is not possible, the individual
may either proceed with the trip at the single supplement rate or cancel the
reservation and receive a full refund of deposits paid.
Airline
options:
- Upgrades to premium economy, business or first
class, and travel on other airlines, must be purchased directly by the
passenger.
- Land-only package: $1,695 per person double
occupancy (single supplement: $840).
- Return flights from Israel within seven days
following the end of the mission may be available at an additional cost of $50.
- NOTE: Trip participants who elect to make their own
airline reservations are strongly encouraged to confer with JCRC staff before
purchasing nonrefundable tickets.
Land package includes:
- Seven nights’ hotel accommodations at five-star
hotels and the beautiful Lavi Kibbutz hotel near Tiberias and the Sea of
Galilee (Lake Kinneret).
- Daily elaborate traditional Israeli breakfast buffet
and all dinners (not including alcoholic beverages).
- Ground transportation throughout the trip in an air
conditioned luxury motor coach accompanied by an expert licensed English-speaking
guide.
- Meet-and-greet assistance upon arrival and departure
at Ben Gurion International Airport.
- Hotel and Ben Gurion airport porterage.
- Entrance fees at museums and other scheduled site
visits.
Not included:
- Personal expenses.
- Insurance.
- Lunches.
- Tips to guide and driver (recommendation is $12 total
per day, per traveler).
- Any item not mentioned as included.
Eilat
– Petra Extension
Extension package price:
$850 per person double occupancy (single
supplement: $286) including airfare (plus possible airfare adjustments). Individuals wishing to travel at the
double occupancy rate but who do not have a designated companion will be
assigned one if possible. If such assignment is not possible, the individual
may either proceed with the extension at the single supplement rate or cancel that portion of the
reservation.
Includes:
- Two nights’ five-star hotel accommodations in Eilat.
- Meals: Breakfasts in Eilat and one lunch in Petra.
- Transportation: Airport ground transfers, round-trip
economy flights between Tel Aviv and Eilat.
- Meet-and-greet assistance upon arrival and departure
at Eilat airport.
- Hotel porterage.
- Day trip to Petra with Jordanian English-speaking
guide.
Not included:
- Border taxes and tips ($65 per person as of November 30).
- Travel insurance (click InsureMyTrip.com graphic below).
- Beverages.
- Animal rides, carriages, etc.
- Any item not mentioned as included.
- Prices are based on an exchange rate of USD 1 =
3.8 Shekels. Should there be a change in this exchange rate, the price
will change accordingly.
NOTE: The number of participants in the Petra Extension may be limited by airline or hotel availability. Depending on participants' travel plans, some additional airline costs may apply.
Additional Information
Trip Extensions:
Extensions
in Israel can be arranged at additional costs for those not returning with the
main or Petra Extension groups.
Reservations:
Held
upon receipt of a completed registration form accompanied by a deposit of $250 per
person, which is refundable through January 10. Another $250 deposit, which is
nonrefundable, is also due by January 10. 50% of the
outstanding balance is due by February 15, and full payment is due by March 8.
All payments must be made by check.
Trip insurance:
Trip participants are strongly urged to purchase travel insurance (click image below).
Packages may include coverage of trip cancellation costs, medical care, lost or
delayed baggage expenses, hotels and meals due to trip interruption, etc.
Information on plans offered by several insurance carriers is available at
InsureMyTrip.com. Travelers may purchase trip insurance at any time but should
do so no later than January 26th if they wish to secure
coverage for preexisting medical conditions.
Passports:
Participants must have a passport that is valid for six
months after the date of return. U.S. citizens do not need a visa to enter
Israel. If you have a passport from another country, it is your responsibility
to inquire at the Israeli Consulate whether a visa is required.
JCRC reserves the
right to limit participation based upon eligibility requirements and space
available.
Airline seats and hotel rooms are limited and guaranteed
only for 45 people, so reserve early!
