Challenges to Israel's Legitimacy
In recent years, a concerted, organized and well financed campaign to
delegitimize Israel has intensified. This campaign steps far beyond
mere criticism of Israeli government policies and distorts the history
of the Jewish state, ignoring the national aspirations of the Jewish
people to live in peace in a homeland to which we have been connected
continuously for more than 3,000 years. It often falsely compares the
Israeli democracy to apartheid-era South Africa, accuses Israel of war
crimes, and even uses Nazi imagery to depict Israeli politicians and
soldiers.

to delegitimize Israel.
Blaming Israel repeatedly regardless of the facts, a network of organizations and activists has emerged to urge the use of anti-Israel boycotts, financial divestment, and academic, diplomatic and other sanctions (BDS) as a tactic to isolate the State of Israel. This campaign has manifested itself in various spheres including churches and campuses, as well as corporate, media, civic and cultural arenas.
