Haiku North America 2015 in Sch'dy – Segment on Schenectady Today In & Around the Capital Region with Guests: Hilary Tann and John Stevenson, Co-Chairs Haiku North America 2015. The Haiku North America conference has taken place at two year intervals since 1991. Previous venues have included the Canadian National Library in Ottawa, the Space Needle in Seattle, and the Queen Mary in Long Beach. For Haiku North America 2015 we will be bringing haiku poets, editors, and interested academics to Union College from October 15 through 17. They are coming from Canada and the US, also from Australia, Japan, and India. Haiku North America is the largest gathering of English-language haiku poets in the world. On Saturday, September 26, 2015, Schenectady County will host one of the biggest nights of live, local music in Downtown Schenectady at Schenectady County's Battle of the Bands. The competition will feature 4 incredible bands competing for local performance dates and the opener position at next year's Schenectady County's Battle of the Bands & SummerNight events.
